GUITARIST / MUSIC DIRECTOR / SINGER / ACTOR
MIKE ROSENGARTEN
The true definition of a gentleman; Mike knows how to play the accordion, but chooses not to. If you need a performer who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty playing a banjo, or even a guy to help you realize the full potential of your own new works, you've come to the right place.
Be More Chill
Mike has been the guitarist for the viral smash hit Broadway musical "Be More Chill" since the very beginning. First produced at Two River Theatre in Red Bank, NJ, the original cast album has been streamed over 400 million times. Now, "Be More Chill" can be seen eight times per week at the historic Lyceum Theatre on Broadway. Come check out Mike and the BMC Band in NYC!

Bio
“In a business full of assholes, Mike Rosengarten is the most NOT an asshole.”
-Joe Iconis
The thing about Mike’s musical career that he treasures most, is the amount of different (literal and figurative) hats he gets to wear on a daily basis. He has appeared on television shows like Amazon’s “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.” He has performed in Broadway pit orchestras such as “Wicked.” In 2016 Mike was the Associate Conductor for Roundabout Theatre Company’s “The Robber Bridegroom.” He gets to music direct and orchestrate new musicals in workshops and readings. He gets to play in bands with compelling new voices, both live and in the studio. He gets to teach private music lessons to students of all ages and ability levels. He gets to travel the country and the world, touring stages and connecting with audiences on a personal, in-person level.
Mike’s instrumental skill set covers all types of guitars (electric, acoustic, classical, jazz, 12-string etc.), banjo, mandolin, bass, keyboards, other stringed instruments, and he can even play a saw. Mike proudly endorses Taylor Guitars, Deering Banjos, and Eastman Mandolins.
He lives with all of these instruments in a one bedroom apartment on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, with his wife, Jen and their Shih-Tzu, Oscar. Oscar is also available for commercial film and print work, though he is not as good at playing instruments.
